"Hate speech in social media during the late period of the Third Greek Republic", was the topic of a paper presented at the Conference organised by Panteion University for the 50th anniversary of the transition to democracy.
Maria Pontiki, computational linguist, lecturer of Digital Humanities and Social Sciences at the Department of Political Science and History of Panteion University, spoke about the results of the relevant research in the broadcast of ERT Larissa "Political Diary".
"Against whom is hate rhetoric directed and what is it aimed at? How do social networking platforms work to spread it? Which political and social events have strengthened such voices in Greece and when: are some of the questions answered in the presentation of the research conducted by M. Pontiki, V. Georgiadou and L. Rori.
